As the story continues we see what was told to Ahab (v.22) come to pass. Ben-hadad forms another army to come at Israel in the plains. It is said that Israel’s army looks like 2 little flocks of goats while the Syrians filled the country. The prophet comes back to Ahab to tell him that once again God will give victory to prove Yahweh is Lord. As the war begins Israel kills 100,000 Syrians in 1 day! While the rest flee, 27,000 were killed when a wall fell on them. So Ben-hadad goes and hides in Aphek.
Israel had such a small army it looked like two little flocks of goats. Nonetheless, facing countless Syrians, they slew 100,000 the first day!
Why? Because God was on their side! Anyone plus God is always a majority!
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: What can man do unto me? Psalm 118:6
What is it that you are facing? Overwhelming odds? Too little on your end and too much on theirs? Are you trying to operate as a minority and feel hopeless? With God on your side you are always a majority!
