Missionary - Mathews Family

Dear Friends and Partners,

Thank you for standing with us. The last few months have been ful ones - ful of travel, full of meetings with leaders, and full of evidence that the Lord is at work across the Carbbean and Latin America. Here's a little of what is happening:

Brazil: Building, Training, and Gathering
Oasis Project - São Paulo: Construction continues to move forward at the Oasis Project, and it is encouraging to see   rise where we have prayed for years. This space wil serve as a hub for ministry, training, and discipleship in São  , and the progress on site is a tangible reminder that God is providing what is needed at the right time.

A new semester is underway at MDI, and it has been a joy to welcome new students and new teachers into the classroom. We pray that MDI becomes a key training ground for the next generation of Brazilian church planters,
 astors, and missionaries - men and women being shaped theologically and practically for the work of the gospel.

Encontro LIDER - São Leopoldo: In March, over 60 leaders gathered in southern Brazil, and the atmosphere was one of celebration. We celebrated new churches that have been planted, new congregations that have affiliated with Converge Brasil, and the deepening of relationships among leaders who are commitled to seeing healthy churches multiplied across the country. Gatherings like this remind us that the missionary task is fundamentally relational and that the Brazilian church is increasingly leading the way.
