Missionary Update - Roy & Edi Seals August 2026

Dear Friends,

An opportunity for young people to learn and practice English. An opportunity to share the gospel. In July we carried out our English Camp Ministry Initiative in Yucatán.This time, we held this event right outside the city of Valladolid. We divided classes into the following groups: Secundaria (middle school), Preparatoria (high school), and college age levels.

The English classes focused on taking the young people from knowing vocabulary to putting together phrases and sentences. Our English teachers were three college-age students from Iglesia Bautista Chattanooga. These young people are bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English. Paige Cooper, a Spanish teacher and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Easley, South Carolina, was our fourth teacher.

The week’s primary objective, however, was to share the gospel message. Each day, my devotional messages took the group from understanding how various languages developed in Genesis 11 to understanding how important is for all mankind, regardless of language. From Scripture, we talked about the importance of communication within the family and society, and the importance of God’s communication with all people groups through His Word.
